There is a new investigation into the mortgage industry. Attorneys General in 49 states, including Texas, have launched a joint investigation. They are investigating allegations mortgage companies mishandled documents and broke laws while foreclosing hundreds of thousands of homeowners.
Texas is among the states that want companies to change the way foreclosures are handled and expand help for borrowers on the verge of losing their homes.
