AUSTIN -- Big changes coming to South Congress. After SXSW, the popular food trailers will have to find a new place to call home to make way for a new hotel.

Thousands of unhappy Austinites are signing an online petition to get the City to reconsider.

Right now the City says development plans for a three-storey boutique hotel with 82 rooms and restaurants and retail on the main level have been submitted and are under review.

Construction could begin as early as this summer.
