AUSTIN -- Just in time to do some holiday shopping, H&M will open this weekend in Austin.
The Swedish clothing store will open at noon Saturday near the Macy's store in the Domain shopping center, according to the store's Facebook page.
The store said on Facebook that the first 500 shoppers in line Saturday will get a Fashion Pass worth $10 to $500 on store items.
H&M officials said the store would be 24,000 square feet and would offer affordable clothes and accessories for men, women, teens and children.
“H&M is committed to opening new stores in the best locations throughout the entire country,” said U.S. President for H&M Daniel Kulle in July. “We are excited to finally offer local Austin shoppers access to our high fashion, quality collections.”
In 44 markets around the world there are more than 2,500 H&M stores.
