Austin moves up list of biggest metro areas

AUSTIN -- The city is moving up the list for largest metropolitan areas in the country.
The U.S. Census Bureau now ranks Austin as the 33rd largest metro area with 1.8 million residents.
Austin was 35th on the list in 2010, but has since overtaken Charlotte and Indianapolis.
According to the Census Bureau, the Austin area gained 150,000 residents over the past two years.
