AUSTIN -- New changes for Austin Energy rates go into effect Monday. Rates will increase for the first time in 18 years.
Austin Energy says most customers will see their summer bills go up by $49 or less.
During the eight non-summer months, the majority of customers will pay anywhere from $2 to $5 more a month.
