AUSTIN -- Austin City Council is still trying to decide what to do about East Riverside Drive.
City leaders want to make more than three miles of the road stretching from I-35 to Highway 71.
A new plan would require new development, including a mix of residences and shops, as well as walking-friendly storefronts.
According to our exclusive partners the Austin-American Statesman, Austin City Council took up the measure for two hours Thursday but did not make a decision.
A final vote is expected next month on December 6th.
