Two restaurants ran into trouble with the health inspector in Williamson County.
The first is Juarez Restaurant and Bakery in Round Rock on South Mays. It failed its Williamson County health inspection with a total of 32 demerits. Problems included employees not washing their hands long enough or not washing at all. The health inspector also observed an employee wipe hands on a damp towel and then pick up tortillas. Other violations included knives stored between the splashguard and the wall. On the required follow-up inspection, Juarez Restaurant and Bakery passed its health inspection with no demerits.
Next stop with 41 demerits is 304 East Bagdad. This is not a sit down restaurant but a location that provides food for El Taco Loco or Crazy Taco food trailers. Among the problems found by the inspector, ants in the kitchen and toxic items not stored properly. The inspector also noted that all food utensils needed to be cleaned and sanitized. On the required follow up inspection, El Taco Loco passed with no demerits.
