The Barton Springs Concessions on Barton Springs Road failed its most recent health inspection with a score of 65.
The problems spotted by the health inspector included numerous flies in the establishment and rodent droppings in the storage closet. Other violations included mold in the ice machine and soda fountain hoses. On the required follow up inspection Barton Springs Concessions passed with a score of 88.
Jason's Deli at the Lake Creek Shopping Center on Highway 183 failed its health inspection with a score of 65. Violations included the improper cold holding of items, including egg salad and macaroni and cheese. The inspector also observed fruit flies in the establishment and accumulation of food particles on the can opener, slicer and spatulas. On the required follow up inspection, Jason's Deli scored a 96.
In North Austin, the Avery Ranch Clubhouse failed its inspection with a score of 62. The inspector observed a cook wipe hands on a soiled rag and then handle food. Other violations included the improper hot holding of food including sausage wraps, and the accumulation of food particles on the can opener, margarita machine and wine glasses. On the required follow up inspection Avery Ranch Clubhouse scored a 93.
The Hunan Restaurant at 1940 William Cannon failed its inspection with a score of 61. Problems included the improper cold holding of potentially hazardous foods, including chicken and beef. The inspector also observed a live roach in a drawer and rodent dropping in a drawer with utensils. On the required follow up inspection, Hunan scored an 86.
