Texas Bloomberg Report: Whiskey lifts Texas spirits

Thumbtack.com says Texas is the best state in the country for being small-business friendly. Austin took the number one spot in the country, while Houston, San Antonio and  Dallas-Fort Worth were all in the top 10 in the U.S. Those numbers were based on the ease of hiring, regulations and training and networking programs.

Veterans listen up! More than 100 large companies are looking to hire military veterans, guard and reserve members, as well as military spouses, at a job fair on April 11 in Dallas. There are more than 5,000 positions open in the Dallas area and 80,000 jobs nationwide. You can upload your resume, register for the job fair and search for jobs at this website.

Facebook unveiled smartphone software "Home", which makes it easier to access Facebook photos and messages on your smartphone home screen instead of going to the Facebook app. The software can be downloaded on phones that use the Android operating system.

Texas wine is a big business, but did you know that there's whiskey made in Texas? Firestone and Robertson makes whiskey in Fort Worth. Rebecca Creek makes it in the Texas Hill country. And Balcones Distillery in Waco makes one Texas whiskey out of local wildflower honey and mission figs. You can take a tour of any of those distilleries.
