AUSTIN -- A former Longhorn is working to bring more Dunkin' Donuts to the Austin area.
Colt McCoy and his partners at Coffee Action West, LLC are working with Dunkin' Donuts to bring 24 new restaurants to the Austin area, the company said in a statement Monday.
Twenty-one traditional coffee shops will be opened in the area, with three being a combination of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins.
The first of these restaurants will open at the beginning of 2013 in Cedar Park. There is currently a Dunkin' Donuts in Northwest Austin, as well as Round Rock.
Coffee Action West, LLC is run by McCoy, QSR industry veteran Dale Mulvey and Michael Karsch, the founder of a New York-based investment management firm, the statement said.
“We are excited to expand Dunkin’ Donuts’ presence in the Austin metro area and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here,” said Mulvey. “We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the years to come.”
Dunkin' Donuts has more than 10,000 restaurants in 32 countries around the world. It was founded in 1950. For more information click here.
