CENTRAL, La. (AP) — The city-parish Planning Commission has rezoned a property to permit a haunted house and outdoor Halloween-themed attraction just south of Central.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/YWrXJj ) the commission voted this past week to rezone 75 acres for the owners of The 13th Gate.
Dwayne Sanburn of Midnight Productions, which owns The 13th Gate, said the concept is similar to another development in downtown Baton Rouge, with outdoor laser tag, a hayride and corn mazes well.
He said the attraction would be open for one-night events throughout the year, but would do most of its business during Halloween season.
