Confidence is such a factor. In all aspects of life. But especially sports.

My son's confidence at the plate has been a little shaky in little league lately. But tonight... he got good wood (well, actually aluminum) on the ball.

And the same is true with the Longhorns. Mired in that ugly slump, topped off by getting swept by Oklahoma State. They get rewarded with a road trip to Waco. A non-conference game against a Big-12 team. But the real oxymoron is that the Longhorns played good baseball.

Timely hitting, great pitching, and OK defense (hey you can't fix everything overnight) shows what this team is capable. Reminds me of the scene from "The Natural".

"Losing is a disease...." Robert Redford didn't put up with it, and neither should the Longhorns.

Catch hold of this feeling... beating Baylor... and let it carry over to Wednesday's game... this weekend's games... next week's games... next month's games.
