SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Police in San Marcos are investigating after a woman was violently attacked while walking from her car to her apartment.
Police say the incident happened Wednesday around 1 a.m. outside the Aspen Heights Apartments on Telluride Street. The victim had non-life threatening injuries and was released from a local hospital.
Police say no other violent attacks have occurred, but there have been reports from residents of waking in the middle of the night to find a stranger in their apartment. Police say most of the cases involved theft.
Authorities want to remind the public to be aware of their surroundings and to report suspicious activity to 911.
