DALLAS - A Dallas woman found guilty of injury to a child in the death of her 10-year-old stepson was sentenced to 85 years in prison Tuesday.
During her trial, Tina Marie Alberson admitted to denying her 10-year-old stepson water and forcing him to stand in one place during timeouts as a form of punishment. After a weekend of punishment in July of 2011, Jonathan James died from dehydration.
Friday, jurors found Alberson guilty of reckless injury to a child.
