ROUND ROCK -- Round rock police say a woman is facing two citations after her dog died in a hot car.

It happened outside a shopping center on Louis Henna and I-35 on Friday afternoon, when the high temperature was near 100 degrees.

The woman told police she returned from shopping after two hours, found her collie mix unresponsive, and brought him inside for help.

Investigators say she faces fines for both animal cruelty citations.
