With the music portion of SXSW starting on Wednesday, there were thousands of people moving through Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. One passenger ended up in jail.
Police say Penelope Whiting, 57, tried to take a loaded gun through security. She told investigators she forgot to take it out of her purse.
Whiting is charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.
