Woman, 27, dies from injuries sustained in December crash

AUSTIN -- Police say a woman involved in a crash on Dec. 30 died from her injuries last week.

Madeline Wermuth, 27, was a passenger in a Hyundai heading west on Parmer Lane around 4 p.m. on Dec. 30. A Honda was heading east on Parmer at the same time.

The driver of the Hyundai went into a controlled lane to make a U-turn but failed to yield the right of way to the Honda. The Honda collided with the passenger side of the Hyundai.

Wermuth was taken to a hospital in Round Rock with life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday, Jan. 9, police say she died from her injuries.
