Willie Nelson's band bus crashes overnight

HOPKINS COUNTY, Texas -- DPS troopers are investigating the cause of Willie Nelson's band bus crash in Hopkins County.

DPS Trooper Sylvia Jennings says around 3:30 Saturday morning, a bus carrying members of Willie Nelson's band crashed along Interstate 30 in Hopkins County, 80 miles east of Dallas.

Willie Nelson was not on board the bus.

The bus was traveling west with five band members and the driver when it hit a bridge pillar. Three band members were injured.

Paul English, Billy Jean English and Thomas Ray Hawkins sustained minor injuries.

The three men were transported to Hopkins County Memorial for treatment.

DPS is investigating the cause of the accident.
