The US Agriculture employee at the center of misinterpreted racial remarks is getting support from Austin music legend Willie Nelson. In that speech Shirley Sherrod told a 24 year old story of how she overcame feelings of racism during her time working with farmers. But an online video was edited, giving her the appearance of being a racist. Willie Nelson who worked personally with Sherrod during his years with "Farm Aid", says quote: "Farmers of every race have struggled with the income inequities that have persisted for generations and advocates like Ms. Sherrod have moved mountains to ensure families can remain in their homes and on their farms." President Barack Obama has since personally apoligized to Sherrod for her forced resignation. The Agriculture Department has also offered her another job. Sherrod says she's considering it.
