A recent report shows that the Longhorns are a big boost to Austin's economy.

The report by SportsImpacts showed each home University of Texas football game weekend generates about $25 million. That totals to about $150 million per football season.

More than half of the stadium's crowd are from out of town. Those visiting fans contribute to a demand of hotel rooms, city-wide.

"We have a few repeat guests who will book all of the home games almost a year in advance," said Tom Schurr, General Manager of the Radisson Hotel & Suites Town Lake Austin.

The Longhorns host their opening home game of the 2010 season against the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday, Sept. 11.
