SAN ANTONIO, Texas –  With fewer than nine minutes left in the fourth quarter at the Alamodome in San Antonio Monday evening, dozens of University of Texas Longhorn football fans trickled out of the stadium with one thing on their minds: coach Mack Brown and what would become of his legacy at UT.

“He's part of their history, you know. It's a monumental thing, and I'm glad to be able to be a part of it and watch the game,” said UT fan Rene Hernandez.

“A legacy of good recruiting. A lot of great players over the years, and a good team, and somebody is going to pick up and turn around and make some things happen,” said Longhorn fan Jeff Binkley.

“Sometimes people got to move on, but I'm sad to see him go. It was a long time. It was a good run.  I'm sure going to miss him. There's no doubt about it,” said UT fan Ray Washington.

Now, the big question on the minds of many Longhorn fans is who Brown’s successor will be.

“He did his best. Whoever goes in there, they're going to have to have some big shoes. That's all I can say,” said fan Roland Flores.
