SOUTH AUSTIN -- Two men are recovering in the hospital after being stabbed multiple times by home invaders in a South Austin apartment.
Austin police say that just before 1 a.m. Sunday, three men and one woman broke into an apartment on South Congress near Olguin Street. Two residents, a 53-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were in the apartment at the time.
During an altercation, the residents were stabbed multiple times by the subjects, who later fled the apartment.
The stabbed residents were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Investigators plan on speaking with the men soon.
An investigation is underway, and Austin police are searching for the subjects.
