BUDA, Texas -- Two men were arrested Thursday morning after a robbery attempt and pursuit with police.

29-year-old Gary Zuniga and 24-year-old Justin Anthony Hernandez have been charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest and felon in possession of a firearm.

According to a Hays County Sheriff's Office press release, the two men were attempting to break into a residence off Mourning Dove Lane in Buda, Texas at approximately 9:16 a.m. when the homeowner returned home and confronted the suspects.

Police said the suspects then pulled out a firearm and shot at the victim. The victim was not injured in the attack, the press release stated.

The suspects fled in a silver pickup. The victim followed the suspects and notified police of the suspects' location and direction of travel.

The suspects abandoned their vehicle on FM 150 at Springwood after police began pursuing them. Officers then pursued the suspects on foot into a heavily wooded area.

Zuniga was arrested shortly after.

Hernandez was arrested at approximately 11:00 a.m. with the assistance of K-9 and Hays County SWAT team. Air assistance was provided by DPS as well.

Both suspects have a criminal history which includes burglary, theft and fraud.
