Two fatal rollovers overnight south of Austin

Two separate fatal crashes occured overnight. Both involved a vehicle rollover. One rollover was in southern Fayette County by the town of Schulenburg, the second was in southern Travis County by the town of Manchaca.

The first vehicle rollover occured on the North IH-10 service road by Stryk Road around 10:00 PM Saturday.

31-year old Miguel Lopez of Weimar was driving when he failed to make a complete turn. His vehicle struck a guardrail and flipped, ejecting Lopez from the car.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that the vehicle rolled and came to a rest on top of Lopez, who has been pronounced dead.

The second vehicle rollover occured at 1:56 Sunday morning in the small community of Manchaca south of Austin. 

DPS troopers are saying that a driver traveling on FM-1626 crashed and rolled over near Rancho Alto Road. DPS reports that the driver was killed in the accident.

Officials are not saying if the person was riding alone. The name of the deceased victim has not yet been released.
