AUSTIN -- The University of Texas, as well as Texas A&M University, rank among the richest colleges in America, according to a new study.
UT makes the list at number three behind Harvard and Yale.
The rank is based on 2011 endowment funds. UT's totaled more than $17 billion, a 22 percent increase from 2010.
Texas A&M came in at number 10 with about $7 billion in endowment funds for 2011.
