SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Two women have been arrested and charged in two separate hit-and-run accidents. One man was left dead and three others seriously injured over the weekend.

San Marcos police say the women were charged with felony hit and run after each accident, which were unrelated.

Jennifer McKernan, 21, was charged with the felony of failure to stop and render aid. Police say she ran from the scene of an accident that killed 37-year-old Rodrigo Rodriguez in the 500 block of Wonder World Drive early Monday morning.

Police say McKernan was released from the Hays County Law Enforcement Center on a $10,000 bond.

Tiffany Danielle Dahl, 25, was charged with three felony counts of failing to stop and render aid. She was also charged with two counts of intoxication assault.

Investigators say she ran from the scene of an accident early Sunday in downtown San Marcos. Three people were injured, two seriously.

Police say Dahl is in jail on a $75,000 bond.
