AUSTIN -- A week and a half after Christmas and it still looks like a winter wonderland along Loop 360.

Cedar Trees spruced up with holiday decorations line the road. Some people were creative, using red solo cups, bumblebees, and cutting paper plates into the mockingjay symbol from the Hunger Games movie.

Lisa Story and her friend, Theresa Daneman decorated before Christmas and now they are cleaning up. They found that Mother Nature blew away most of their ornaments.

While the decorations on these trees look good from the road, if you look closer you can see garland all over the ground and tinsel everywhere. Some community members are speaking out and asking the community to take down their tree decorations.

Lee Rusk loves riding his bike along the 360 hills on Saturday and Sunday mornings. While he likes the decorations, he says they have turned into an environmental threat to the community.

"If people are going to decorate a tree, they should come and undecorate it," said Rusk.

Now it is up to volunteers to return the trees along Loop 360 to their natural beauty.
