AUSTIN -- A Travis County sheriff's deputy and another driver are in the hospital after a crash early Tuesday morning in the construction work zone along MoPac.
Spokesman Roger Wade with the Travis County Sheriff's Office says a dark-colored sports car rear-ended a deputy's car just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. The deputy was working traffic control for the MoPac Improvement Project.
Paramedics took both the deputy and the other driver to North Austin Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Austin police and the sheriff's office are investigating.
