KILLEEN, Texas -- A special photo display at the Killeen Civic asnd Conference Center honors the Texas soldiers who lost their lives fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The exhibit features more than 600 service members, including several from the Austin area. One of those soldiers is 19-year-old Private First Class Anthony Nunn. The Burnet High School graduate died in 2011 while on patrol in Afghanistan.

Handwritten notes are pinned alongside photos of the fallen soldiers.

"It's a really sad reminder of what's happened in the wars that have been going on for 10 or 12 years in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Connie Kuehl with the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. "These are just those folks killed from Texas, so it's a hug eimpact when you look at all of these and imagine this is just one state."

Bellevue University sponsors this exhibit, and Killeen is the display's fourth stop. It's open to the public there until this Thursday.
