AUSTIN -- Austin Energy was working to restore power to around 6,000 customers Friday night in IH 35/ William Cannon/Pleasant Valley/FM 1327 area.
Austin Energy tweeted around 8:10 p.m. that crews were headed to the area to make repairs.
At 9:50 p.m. Austin Energy said power needed to be restored to about 1,400 customers. Repairs were needed to be made in 20 locations. Ten repair crews and six tree-trimming crews were working on the repairs.
"Most frequent outage cause tonight has been trees and tree limbs falling into power lines," Austin Energy tweeted.
Austin Energy anticipated that all customers would have their power back by 10:45 Friday night.
