The free ride is over. Starting Sunday, you have to pay to drive on America's fastest highway.
For two weeks, the new 41 mile stretch of SH-130 was free. The speed limit is 85 miles per hour. It will cost you 15 cents a mile with a TX-Tag. For cars and SUVs that is about $6.17 for the entire stretch with a TX-Tag, or more than $8 without one. 16 tolling locations are in place, each equipped with laser detectors and cameras.
