Now many families spend a lot more, however, the total for 10 staples including a young frozen turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries, and pie is $46.08.
That's down more than 5 percent from 2011.
Prices for pecans, green beans, whipping cream, and milk are up slightly.
Everything else is down.
