WACO, Texas -- A Waco school community may be the next district to allow teachers to carry guns in school.
More than half of the Academy High School staff attended a free concealed handgun license class on campus.
After faculty and staff learn the guns basics, the school board will meet to talk about gun policies.
"We don't want to have to shoot," said principal Alex Remschel. "We can let people know we have the ability. We are prepared for that situation and can diffuse difficult situations in a hurry."
