TRAVIS COUNTY -- Three teens are in jail after leading Travis County sheriff's deputies on a chase, ending in a crash.
Tre'vond Jamal Jamison, 17, along with two other teens ages 16 and 13, are in custody. Deputies say on August 12 around 6 a.m., they stole a 2007 Chevy truck from 2900 Crownover Street. A deputy spotted the stolen vehicle and chased the teens along southbound SH 130 to westbound SH 71 to FM 973.
Deputies say an innocent driver was passing through a green light at 183 and Cameron when they T-boned the stolen truck.
The teens are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault on a public servant, organized criminal activity and evading arrest.
A neighbor who lives nearby says he plans to be more cautious when parking his vehicles in the driveway.
Deputies say what began as possibly just teenage summer boredom could now seriously complicate the lives of these three Austin teens.
