AUSTIN -- If you'd like to know your blood alcohol content before you get into trouble, there are several devices that will plug into your smartphone.
Most are about the size of a car key and will monitor your BAC, graph your drinking over time and even call you a cab.
One that's about to be released is called Alcohoot, a portable breathalyzer that plugs into an iPhone or Android's headphone jack and can be preordered for $99. Find out more information about Alcohoot here.
The Breathometer works the same way, with both iPhones and Androids. It sells for $49.
BACtrack offers units that connect to your device via Bluetooth, with prices ranging from $40 to $250.
Remember, none of these devices guarantee that someone is safe to drive.
