Dallas-based Southwest Airlines may not be so low-fare after all! A new study found competing airlines have lower fares by more than 60 percent of the time. This is all according to Topaz International, which is a firm that audits airfares for companies to see if they're getting the best price. But when baggage comes into the mix, Topaz says, that changes everything. Bags still "fly free" on Southwest.
Speaking of Southwest -- the company bought AirTran two years ago. Now their computer systems are fully integrated which means you will be able to purchase tickets, including international destinations, in one transaction whether you book on Southwest or AirTran's website.

The San Antonio-New Braunfels area is number nine in the country for oil and gas and ranked fifth for construction jobs.
Dallas and San Antonio tied for eighth for the most jobs in the financial industry.
Texans spend a lot of time in their car. Seattle's Best Coffee says more customers want to get their coffee on the go. So the company will open 15 new drive-thru coffee locations this spring in the Dallas-Forth Worth area and create 150 new jobs.
