Wednesday morning, Samsung Austin Semiconductor announced a gift of a million dollars to United Way. The donation is a way for the company to thank the community for its continued support.
Samsung recently announced a $3.6 billion expansion at its semiconductor fabrication plant in North Austin which includes 600 new jobs.
Samsung has been operating in Austin since 1996.
