MEMPHIS, Tennessee -- Just when you think you've seen it all, something like this happens. How did a police cruiser end up nearly vertical against a utility pole in Tennessee?
Department officials say an officer saw a driver without a seat belt and turned around to pull him over. But he lost control of his cruiser and hit a guide wire, which sent him up the pole.
No one was hurt, and the officer ended up as the person in trouble with the law. He was cited for failure to maintain control and hitting a fixed object.
