******

Two people are in police custody after they led police on a chase from downtown Austin to Hays County.

Officers tried to stop the pair shortly before midnight near Cesar Chavez and I-35 because their car matched the description of a vehicle that had clipped a bike patrol officer earlier and kept going.

The suspects made it to Buda before the left the car and fled on soot.

Officers were able to locate them with help from a police helicopter in the skies.

The suspects were arrested for failing to stop and render aid and evading arrest.

The bicycle officer is OK.

Amazingly accurate story. The car was in fact a red and white truck .Oddly, several articles were removed from the vehicle- photographed, documented, and taken away for processing. After the suspects were apprehended, a firetruck and ambulance pulled up to the location were the truck and officers were. The ambulance doors were being closed as I rounded the corner to access the scene. Several officers were searching the ground on either side of the street with flash lights. I wonder what really happened? Why were 22 law enforcement officers involved? Yes.22.State Troopers.APD. Hays County Sheriffs Deputies. Travis County Sheriffs Deputies. A neighbor counted the law enforcement vehicles race down Main Street in Down Town Buda. The suspects truck was left only half a block from my house. What is the story behind the story? This can not be standard procedure practiced in the instance when an officer on a bike is clipped by a vehicle.

Why don’t you make a formal complaint? I'm sure the next time an officer is assaulted in any way, the police/sheriff’s department will only send one or two marked units to disturb your quaint little neighborhood. That way when the suspect crashes their vehicle into someone to something and flees on foot, officers can just radio for help from other units to set up a perimeter. Did I have any spelling errors? Apparently you’re the authority on English and law enforcement. Unbelievable, people gripe if you catch criminals and gripe when they don’t catch them… make up your mind.

Read my original post and you will see that there are no complaints. Wouldn't you have been curious as to what really happened? No- I am not an authority on law enforcement but have been in law enforcement. As far as spelling errors- one would expect a reporter to spell correctly and a copy editor to catch errors. That being said, Have a good week.
