TRAVIS COUNTY -- A two-level party boat caught fire Friday afternoon at Bob Wentz Park at Windy Point on Lake Travis.

Travis County Sheriff's spokesman Roger Wade says the fire started in the boat's kitchen around 4:30 p.m.

Employees on the iconic Flagship Texas boat say three crew members were preparing for a party at the time.

No one was hurt but the entire boat is destroyed, according to Wade.

Damages are estimated at around $400,000.

Fire crews have erected a flotation boom around the boat to prevent any possible gasoline or toxic runoff from entering Lake Travis.
