MOORE, Oklahoma -- President Barack Obama visited tornado-ravaged Moore, Oklahoma this afternoon, assuring residents they'll get all the help they need as they rebuild.
The president had a clear view of the devastation as Air Force One flew over the 1,200 homes that were damaged or destroyed by last Monday's tornado.
President Obama came to Moore, Oklahoma on a Memorial Day weekend heavy with memories.
The president promised the people of Moore they will not be forgotten.
"We need to start rebuilding these homes, rebuilding these businesses. And we know at different times in the past, money hasn't come always as quickly as it should. So we hope that fema will be very prompt in getting the relief here," said Governor Mary Fallin
Good samaritans have been streaming in from all over offering random acts of kindness.
