Police in New Braunfels say a six-month-old girl died Tuesday after being left in a car for nine hours.
According to the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung, the mother, Kayla Carson, is a staffer at the paper.
Investigators say Carson accidentally left her daughter in the car when she went to work and did not find her until 5 p.m., when she was leaving for the day.
New Braunfels police are investigating the incident. An autopsy will be perfomed in Lockhart.
