AUSTIN -- A man wanted across the country for the sexual assault of a child has been arrested by a special task force in Texas.
Leslie Lloyd, 46, of Binghamton, New York was arrested Tuesday morning by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in North Austin. Authorities say Lloyd relocated to to the area from New York in the past year.
The Binghamton Police Department was investigating Lloyd in a first degree sexual assault case against a child.
“The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force will continue to pursue fugitives who flee from their criminal actions and we will continue to seek out those that victimize our children," U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas States Robert R. Almonte said.
Lloyd was arrested without incident and taken to the Travis County Jail. He will soon be extradited to Broome County in upstate New York.
