AUSTIN -- Two motorcyclists are in the hospital with serious injuries after two separate crashes Sunday afternoon.
Austin police say officers responded to a 911 call around 4:03 p.m. Sunday. The motorcyclist crashed at Red River Street near 47th Street. The driver suffered a neck fracture. The injury is not considered life-threatening.
Shortly afterward, at 4:18 p.m., officers responded to a second motorcycle crash on North Lamar Boulevard near West 24th Street. Police say the driver crashed in the median and suffered serious injuries.
Both motorcyclists are at University Medical Center Brackenridge. Their names have not been released.
