Police say a motorcyclist died Friday evening in an accident in North Austin.
According to APD, a motorcyclist struck the back of a pickup truck around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of West Braker Lane, between Mopac and U.S. 183. The motorcyclist was taken to UMC Brackenridge where he died.
Police say the truck left the scene of the accident, but they were able to locate the vehicle a couple of miles away. Police say they have detained the driver.
