AUSTIN – A parent has been arrested after school officials say they were involved in an altercation with students at Austin High School.
According to a letter sent home with students Thursday, Christie Franklin, 36, was arrested after confronting a group of students she said had 'disagreements' with her child."
According to the letter, Franklin confronted the students she claims have been harrassing her daughter.
KVUE News has learned a student and assistant principal were injured in the school cafeteria altercation.
The mother was arrested on two charges of assault with injury, a class A misdemeanor. Police also charged the woman with one count of assault on a public servant, a third degree felony.
