AUSTIN -- There was another snag in the repairs at a Southeast Austin apartment complex, but most of the residents got back in around 6 p.m. Thursday.
City Code officials ordered 16 units evacuated late Tuesday at Las Palmas apartments because of a walkway that was close to collapse.
When the management company started working on a fix, they found more rotten wood and had to tell 12 families to wait one more night. They're now back at home.
Another three families will have to wait about a week.
