AUSTIN -- A spokesperson with the MoPac Improvement Project tells KVUE News the project's start has been delayed.
Crews have called off work scheduled to begin Wednesday night due to winter weather headed into the area. Wednesday evening crews will finish installing construction signage along the highway.
They anticipate picking up the re-striping project on Sunday Dec. 8.
When work begins it will include the southbound lanes from U.S. 183 to 2222. On the first night the far right lane and middle lane will be closed. Only the left lane will be open to traffic. On the second night the left lane and middle lane will be closed; only the right lane will be open to traffic.
