CANBY, Oregon -- A couple narrowly escapes after a massive tree fell on their car.
A 100-foot fir tree snapped off at its base, landing on the car, and it didn't leave much room inside.
Somehow the couple only suffered a few cuts and scrapes. They managed to crawl out of the passenger-side window.
Investigators have no idea why the tree fell. No one reported any strong winds at the time. It was such a close call, even first responders are unsure of how they survived.
"They must have had a bright light shining on them," Division Chief Troy Buzalsky said. "How the husband survived is just remarkable."
