NEW BRAUNFELS -- New Braunfels police have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with the death of a 27-year-old woman found Tuesday.
Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Melissa Eason’s boyfriend, 27-year-old Nathaniel “Nate” Fox of New Braunfels, charging him with her murder.
Police changed the classification of the case Friday from suspicious death to a murder investigation.
Fox has not been arrested and law enforcement officers are actively searching for him.
Eason was found dead on New Year's Day inside an apartment in the 200 block of East Merriweather Street. An autopsy revealed she was strangled.
The case is still under investigation.
Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $10,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Fox.
